Telnet connection using PuTTY
Proceed as follows:

Start the
PuTTY
program on your computer.

In the Host Name (or IP address) field you enter the IP address of your device.
The IP address consists of 4 decimal numbers with values from
0
to
255
. The 4 decimal numbers
are separated by points.

To select the connection type, select the Telnet radio button in the Connection type range.

Click the Open button to set up the data connection to your device.
The Command Line Interface appears on the screen with a window for entering the user name.
The device enables up to 5 users to have access to the Command Line Interface at the same
time.
Note:
This device is a security-relevant product. Change the password during the first startup
procedure.

Enter the user name.
The default user name is
admin
.

Press the <Enter> key.

Enter the password.
The default password is
private
.

Press the <Enter> key.
