9.6 Apply an External Trigger (External Trigger)
An external signal applied to the External Control terminal can serve as a trigger source.
It can also be used to drive synchronized parallel triggering of multiple instruments.
Procedure
Press the
DISP
key to open the Waveform screen, and then press the
TRIG.SET
key to open the trigger settings
window.

Enable external triggering.
Move the cursor to
[Ext Trig].
Off
External triggering disabled.
(Default setting)
On
External triggering enabled.

Apply the input signal to the external trigger (EXT.TRIG)
terminal.

9.7 Trigger Manually (Manual Trigger)
Triggers can be applied manually by pressing the
Manual Trigger
key.
Manual triggering takes priority over all other trigger sources, regardless of
settings.
To stop recording,
press the
STOP
key.
Press the
key once
Recording is carried out for one recording length and
then stops.
Press the
key twice
Recording stops when the key is pressed.
As for other trigger types, triggering does not occur during pre-trigger standby. Set the trigger priority
function to
[On]
.
