Saving Data
12.8 Saving Data
You can save all CAN frame data measured.
File format
CAN frame data is saved as files different from waveform files. Data can be saved in binary form or
text form.
Type Form Extension Description
CAN binary Binary CLG Saves a waveform file and an index file as a
package (Saving either of them is unavailable).
Loading an index file enables the instrument to load
waveforms and frame data into the internal memory.
CAN text Text CSV, TXT Only manually saving is available.
CAN binary file
(1) Saving by pressing the SAVE key (manual save)
When a CAN binary file is saved, a CAN binary file can be simultaneously saved.
Tap the [CAN] button to specify the file to be saved.
Off  Saves the waveform file only.
On When the CAN frame data exists, the CAN log file and index file, as well as the
waveform file, are saved.
(2) Automatic saving, real-time saving
Automatically saves the waveform binary file. For the real-time saving, automatically saves the
CAN binary file.
CAN text file
CAN text files can be saved by pressing the SAVE key (manual save) only.
Tap the [Type] button, and choose [CAN(Text)] .
