7.1.4 Monitoring the Detection Level (Detection Level Monitoring
Function)
This function can detect the abnormal measurement waveforms when there is contact between the
test sample and the instrument by monitoring the variations in the r.m.s. value of voltage and the
r.m.s. value of current. During analog measurement, the r.m.s. value of voltage and the r.m.s. value
of current are calculated several times.
The first-calculated r.m.s. value of voltage and the r.m.s value of current are considered as the
reference value respectively. The percentage ∆ % of subsequent r.m.s. values of voltage and
current relative to the reference value is computed using the following formula.

An error is detected when ∆ % is higher than the set limit value.
