Calibration
5.2 Calibration
5.2.1
Setting the Calibration [CAL]
The errors between the measurement instrument and the calibration reference surface are
eliminated.
Connect the three types of standard units (open/short/load) one by one with the reference surface
(terminal) to be calibrated, and obtain respective measurements.
In case of DC resistance measurements, if different standard units are used, perform AC
measurement and DC measurement separately.
To avoid improper connection of the three types of standard units (open/short/load), judgment can
be made by setting the limit with DC measurement.
See “Prevention of improper standard unit connection” (p. 150).
When calibration is performed with the terminal connected to the test sample, electric length
compensation, open compensation, and short compensation are not necessary.
