Trigger settings can be made on the Trigger Settings or Waveform screen.
Settings choices for each item are function-dependent.

Trigger Mode Settings
Set whether to continue to accept triggers after measuring.
(function-dependent)
[Single], [Repeat], [Auto], or [Timer]
Pre-Trigger Settings
Set the amount to record before and after a trigger point.
• [% Setting] or [DIV Setting]
• Trigger priority
Trigger Timing Settings
Set the start and stop timing for recording by triggers.
[Start], [Stop] or [Start & Stop]
Trigger Type Setting
Make trigger source-related settings.
• Analog trigger (p. 146)
(Level, In-Window, Out-of-Window, Period, Glitch, Slope or
Voltage Sag trigger)
• Logic trigger (p. 159)
• Timer trigger (p. 162)
• Manual trigger (p. 165)
• External trigger (p. 166)
Setting AND/OR Between
Trigger Sources
Select AND/OR logical combination of analog, logic, exter-
nal and timer triggers to be applied.
[AND] or [OR]
Start Measurement
Press the
START
key to start measuring.
The green LED lights.
(However, operation differs according to the setting for START
key behavior (p. 353).)
Data acquisition starts when trigger criteria are met.
To stop measurement: press the
STOP
key.
Press once: recording stops at the end of the specified record-
ing length.
Press twice: recording stops immediately.
