2.1 Connecting Connectors
• A laser beam is output from the laser output
connector ferrule during operation. The laser
beam is invisible. To prevent eye damage, do
not look directly into the connector or look at it
through a magnifying glass while the power is
on.
• Make sure that the mating portions are free of
dust or other foreign matter when connecting a
optical fiber cable to the 3662-20/3663-20. In
particular, the end face (ferrule) requires meticu-
lous care. If there is dust in the interface or a
scratch on the end face, the measurement may
not be accurate.
Always clean the optical connector end face
(ferrule) of the optical fiber cable before
connecting.
