GRAVITY EMERGENCY DESCENT
EMERGENCY POTENTIAL SITUATIONS:
Engine and/or electric motor not working
:
There’s not enough pressure
in the hydraulic system such as in case of engine/electric motor
breakdown, lack of fuel, electric power supply not available etc…
Machine not stabilized:
The control module avoids the aerial part
movements because at least one of the stabilization conditions is missing,
such as in case of an outrigger microswitch breakage or the loss of the
levelling.
CONDITIONS REQUIRED:
Electric system properly functioning.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE:
Keep pressed button n.4 of the remote control and at the same time use the
joystick relevant to the boom to low.
By this emergency descent being using the gravity it’s possible to do only the
movements indicated here below with blue circles, so third boom lowering,

booms lowering and jib lowering, i.e. closing 2
nd
cylinder, 1

cylinder
or jib cylinder.
It’s not possible to lift the booms, to rotate turret or
basket or to move the telescope, in case of need those
movements have to be carried out by one of the
following procedures.
If the operator attempts a not allowed movement
while button n.4 an error message will appear on the
display.
NOTE: Gravity emergency descent procedure by-passes engine carter contact
prevention system.
