7. EMERGENCY OPERATIONS
The machine is designed to consent to be moved also in an emergency situation
such as the loss of the stabilization condition, a mechanical or electrical
breakdowns, an unexpected operator illness, etc.
Even on these situations it’s always possible to intervene with an emergency
procedure to safely take to the ground the operator staying into the basket, in
these cases we can talk about “emergency descent”.
Then it’s possible to intervene with an emergency proced ure to lift the
outriggers up in order to get the machine in stowed position, and to move the
tracks with another emergency procedure in order to displace the machine.
By this chapter are detailed the emergency procedures instructions and the list
of the relevant potential cases where they could be required.
NOTE: Remember, ground personnel must be present all the time the platform
is operating
7.1 EMERGENCY DEVICES AND TOOLS LOCATION
In order to fulfil the emergency procedures, the machine is equipped with all
the necessary devices and tools.
The ground control box located on the right side of the machine contains the
aerial part valveblock with its movements levers and the control position
selector.
The ground valveblocks with its movements levers, the deviator valve and the
hand pump (with its lever disassembled) are also located on the right side of
the machine inside the bonnet as indicated below.
