IMPORTANT POINTS - DISASSEMBLY
When disassembling the starter, prepare a work stand as shown in
the figure.
1.
REMOVE THE PINION GEAR.
(1)
Remove the retainer ring.
! CAUTION
Wear a pair of safety goggles, because the retainer ring may spring
out the groove at the time of removal.
(2)
Remove the pinion stopper.
(3)
Remove the pinion gear.
(4)
Remove the return spring.
2.
REMOVE THE TERMINAL LEAD.
(1)
Remove the nut, disconnect the "M" terminal lead.
3.
REMOVE THE COMMUTATOR END FRAME.
(1)
Remove the bolt.
