P0117: Engine coolant temperature sensor 1 - out of range (Out of range low)
INFORMATION
1.
Technical description
•
The engine coolant temperature sensor installed to the thermostat case consistently measures the engine coolant
temperature.
<Description of malfunction>
•
The engine coolant temperature cannot be correctly recognized.
2.
DTC set condition
(1)
DTC detection condition
•
Starter key "ON".
•
Battery voltage is in the range of 10 V to 16 V.
•
The engine is stopped, or the engine speed remains at 500 r/min or more for 5 seconds or more.
(2)
Judgement criteria
•
Output of the sensor remains at 0.2 V (122
C {251.6
F}) or less for 3 seconds or longer.
3.
Reset condition
•
After restoration to normal condition
4.
Indication, warning or system control regulation when the DTC is set.
•
MIL: ON
•
SVS light: OFF
•
Engine output is restricted.
