
General Safety Warnings
The following guidelines apply to any operational situations:

Make sure only authorized personnel can perform operations to the device.
l
Keep the area around the device free from dust, fire and humidity.
l
Keep tools and accessories away from places where people might get tripped while walking.
l
Do not wear loose clothes or jewelry, such as earrings and bracelets, as they might be caught
in the chassis.
l
Do not attempt to lift an object that is too heavy for one person to handle.
l
Never manipulate the wire in electrical storms.
l
Do not open or remove the chassis cover or metal parts unless it is specifically instructed in
the manual.
l
Avoid spilling liquid onto the device or onto any part.
Preventing ESD Damage
The hardware components are sensitive to electric damages. Static voltages can be easily gen-
erated whenever you handle plastic or foam packing material or if you move components across
plastic or carpets. Some components can be impaired by static voltages.
To minimize the potential of electrostatic discharges (ESD), follow the rules:
l
When you handle the chassis, make sure one end of your ESD strap is connected to the ESD
point on the chassis. The position of ESD points on the chassis is as shown below.
