Grounding Requirements
To use the device more safely:
l
Ensure that the grounding screw of the chassis is well grounded via the grounding cable.
l
Ensure that the grounding pin of the power plug is well grounded.
Cabinet Requirements
The SG-6000XAnew NIPS-Series device (except desktop models) is designed to fit in a standard
19-inch cabinet. They can be installed in a 19-inch (or larger) cabinet.
Cabinet Size and Clearance Requirements
The minimum size that can accommodate the device is a 19-inch standard cabinet. A larger cab-
inet can provide better air flow and reduce the chance of overheating.
To prevent overheating, the cabinet that accommodates the device should have certain clearance
around the device.
Cabinet Airflow Requirements
When a device is mounted in a cabinet, you must ensure that the ventilation through the cabinet
conforms to the following requirements:
l
Ensure that the ventilation of the cabinet itself is sufficient enough to dissipate the thermal
output of the device.
l
Ensure that the hot exhaust air will not be recirculated into the chassis.
l
Route and dress all cables to minimize the blockage of airflow to and from the chassis.
