Tools Required
To install a power module, you need the tools:
l
Cross screwdriver
l
ESD wrist strap
Installing an AC/DC Power Module of SG-6000-X10800/X9180
SG-6000-X10800 requires at least three (in the country or region where the standard voltage is
110V, at least six) 220V AC power modules or four -48V DC power modules. SG-6000-X9180
requires at least two (in the country or region where the standard voltage is 110V, at least three)
220V AC power modules or two -48V DC power modules.
The following takes AC power module of SG-6000-X10800 as an example to introduce how to
install an AC or DC power module. To install an AC power module, take the following steps:
1. Make sure the power module will not be powered during the installation process.
2. Wear an electrostatic discharge (ESD) strap around your bare wrist and connect the strap to
an ESD point on the chassis. See ESD Prevention .
3. Face the rear panel of the chassis.
4. Position the power module so that its front side faces you. Make the gold finger on the
downside, and make the outline of the power module and the power slot even. Slide the
power module straight into the slot till it is fully seated in the chassis slot. You can hear a
