4.4 Siderail Extender
Tools required: T45 Torx®

head screwdriver
Removal
1. Remove the screw (A) securing the cover plate (B) and extender (C) to the
siderail.
2. Remove the cover plate (B) and extender (C) from the siderail (C).

Replacement
1. Perform the removal procedure in the reverse order.
NOTE:
The thicker end of the extender goes toward the foot end of the bed.
2. To ensure proper operation of the TotalCare® Bariatric Bed, perform the
“Function Checks” in the TotalCare® Bed System Service Manual
(man112) .
