Knee-Break Malfunction
1. Does at least one of the other functions operate correctly?
Yes
No
2. Is the knee-break lockout function unlocked?
Yes
No
Unlock the knee-break function.
3. Is the handset connected correctly?
Yes
No
Correctly connect the handset.
4. Is the ACP connected to the control box?
Yes
No
Connect the ACP to the control box.
5. Test the actuator. Trace the wire from the knee-break actuator to the control
box, and label it. Trace the wire from a working actuator to the control box
and label it. Switch the two connections and use the handset to actuate the
known good actuator.
The knee-break actuator fails to extend/retract when the known good
function is activated.

Switch the connections back to original, and then replace the
knee-break actuator. Go to “Function Checks” on page 2-3.
6. Without switching the wiring back to original positions, swap the ACP
with a known good ACP. Use the handset to activate the known good
function. The knee-break actuator fails to extend/retract when the known
good function is activated.
