The safety siderails have two locking positions as follows:
Siderails Up Position
Raise the siderail to the highest position by lifting upwards until it latches and
stays in position (see figure 1-11 on page 1-15).

Siderails Down Position
To lower a siderail, do as follows:
1. Put one hand on the top rail of the siderail and release the lock knob (A)
with your other hand (see figure 1-12 on page 1-15).
2. Hold the lock knob (A) in the unlocked position until the siderail is fully
down.
