1. Introduction
1.1 Brief Structure
This solution is designed to control the entrance and exit of office building, factory, cell and so on through
face verification, and the event can be managed and monitored on iVMS-4200 client software.

From front Figure 1,mainly we have two types scenarios: one is to add face recognition terminal based
on previous old swing barrier, the face recognition terminal will be connected to barrier control board through
RS232 interface; The second scenario is used more common, connect DS-K5603(T)-Z face recognition
terminal and swing barrier DS-K3B601-XXX, the quantity of barrier, face terminal, card or fingerprint reader
are selected according to customer requirement. In second scenario (picture on the right), one channel is for
entrance and another for out, so we need 4 face recognition terminals and 4 card readers.
Please refer to Figure 2 for the data flow, card number and fingerprint is registered to client software
iVMS-4200 through card issuer or fingerprint enrollment station. Face will be registered from enrollment
device or import from PC to iVMS-4200, then these cards and faces will be synchronized to terminals(DS-
K5603-Z), card number, fingerprint and permission will be synchronized to barrier control board(DS-K3M200)
in swing barrier. The fingerprint data will be send to fingerprint reader (optional) from barrier control board.
When swiping card, card number will be send to barrier control board for permission check. When put
finger on FP reader, it will verify inside the reader first, after verify successfully, reader will send the card
number, which is linked to this fingerprint, to barrier control board, then the board will check the permission
for this card number. When verify face on DS-K5603(T)-Z, it will verify face picture inside the terminal first,
after verify successfully, card number which linked to this face picture will be send to barrier control board,
then the board will check the permission for this card number. If the card number is verified, this board will
send signal to the motor to open the gate. The access event will be uploaded from face recognition terminal
