Stop function
6.4.3
To stop a running motor or to prevent a motor from starting, a STOP pushbutton
or switch can be connected to the input “In6”. This element must be designed as
a normally closed contact. It is also possible for several normally closed elements
to be connected in series one after another in the form of a STOP-chain (e.g.
motor temperature switch, access switch, EMERGENCY STOP).
If no STOP operating function is desired on the gate, a wire bridge should be
provided between 24 V and the input.
The STOP input of the control system should be connected as follows:
Switch off the power supply to the motor drive.
Connect the power supply of the pushbutton/switch to 24V.
Connect the signal line from STOP to terminal IN6.
Switch on control system’s power supply and check function.
Operating keys OPEN
6.4.4
To open the gate in automatic mode (with self-locking), an ‘OPEN’ pushbutton
(normally open contact) can be connected to the “In5” input. The input is
configured such that, when activated, it moves the gate in the OPEN direction
until the limit switch is reached. During this movement, if an installed safety strip
is activated for this direction of travel, the motor brakes quickly, moves in the
opposite direction and then stops.
This contact could also be operated by a timer, loop detector or similar
electronics.
Switch off the power supply to the motor drive.
Connect the keys to the 24V power supply.
Connect the OPEN key to input terminal IN5 (normally open contact).
Switch on the power supply of the motor drive.
Check that the keys work.
Operating keys CLOSE
6.4.5
At the input "In3" (Variant 2) or "In4" (Variant 3), a button can be connected that
generates a move command in the CLOSE direction of the gate. This function is
only supported in automatic mode.
Switch off the power supply to the motor drive.
Connect the keys to the 24V power supply.
Connect the CLOSE key to input terminal IN3 or IN 4 (normally open
contact).
