25. Safety functions
All of the following cause LED ON situations.
The
Safety Cover LED
tells you that the enclosure is
open. Rotation won’t start, or rotation is going to stop.
Close hood and hit Start Rotation key.
Flask Support LED
:
Flask support is not in its extreme
position (either side). Rotation won’t start, or rotation is
going to stop, li
ft won’t work.
Move flask support to extreme position (both sides) and
secure with knurled knobs (7, page 114).
LED Rotation Stop LED:
Drive lock engaged, rotation
can’t start. Release lock by turning knob CCW.
Overheat Protection LED
:
Bath temperature beyond
acceptable limits. Heater won’t start, heater is disconnected. Check heater for possible
problems.
Overheat Protection LED
flashing: After response, over temperature protection enters
Emergency mode (refer to next paragraph).
Heater won’t start, heater is disconnected.
Possible reasons: heating bath level insufficient, heating bath dry; refill.
Heater is broken.
After repair action allow bath to cool off and reset over temperature protection by depressing
little button with screwdriver.
Emergency LED
:
Emergency CUT-OUT actuated, over temperature protection response (refer
to paragraph above) or the safety sensor responded.
Heating bath lift descends automatically;
Heater and rotation OFF;
vacuum is turned OFF and system aerated.
Continuous buzzer
Reset with master switch OFF and ON
The
Emergency LED
being lighted and the
Act Vacuum LED
flashing the same time means
the safety circuit detected an overpressure situation (refer to page 95).
Heating bath lift descends automatically;
Heater and rotation OFF;
vacuum is turned OFF and system aerated.
Continuous buzzer
Reset with master switch OFF and ON
TIMER AND RAMP-FUNCTION
Time- and ramp-functions allow setting time ramps for bath temperature and rotational speed. A
maximum of 10 ea. steps may be programmed for every parameter. A maximum of 20 time
settings are accepted by the system.
