Corner as preset
Refer to your machine manual.
It depends on the machine whether you can
compensate workpiece misalignment with an offset
(angle for table rotation).
HEIDENHAIN only gives warranty for the function of the
probing cycles if HEIDENHAIN touch probes are used.
The "Corner as preset" probing cycle identifies the angle and
intersection of two straight lines.
Select the probing function: Press the
PROBING P

Position the touch probe near the first touch
point on the first workpiece edge
Select the probe direction by soft key
Probe: Press the
NC Start
key
Position the touch probe near the second touch
point on the same workpiece edge
Probe: Press the
NC Start
key
Position the touch probe near the first touch
point on the second workpiece edge
Select the probe direction by soft key
Probe: Press the
NC Start
key
Position the touch probe near the second touch
point on the same workpiece edge
Probe: Press the
NC Start
key
Preset
: Enter both coordinates of the preset in
the menu window
Apply with the
SET PRESET
