Traverse reference points
If the control performs the self-test successfully, it then displays
the
Traverse reference points
dialog.
Refer to your machine manual.
Switching on the machine and traversing the reference
points can vary depending on the machine tool.
If your machine is equipped with absolute encoders, you
can leave out crossing the reference points.
If you intend only to edit or graphically simulate
NC programs, you can select the
Programming
or
Test
Run
mode of operation immediately after switching on
the control voltage, without needing to reference the
axes.
You can neither set a preset nor modify a preset via the
preset table without having referenced the axes. The
control issues the
Traverse reference points
hint.
You can cross the reference points later. For this
purpose, in
Manual operation
mode press the
PASS OVER REFERENCE
soft key.
Cross the reference points manually in the displayed sequence:
For each axis press the
NC START
button, or
The control is now ready for operation in the
Manual operation
mode.
As an alternative you can cross the reference points in any
sequence:
Press and hold the axis direction button for each
axis until the reference point has been traversed
The control is now ready for operation in the
Manual operation
mode.
