Setup | Using a 3-D touch probe (option 17)

Overview
Refer to your machine manual.
The control must be specifically prepared by the machine
tool builder for the use of a 3-D touch probe.
The manual touch probe functions are available only with
software option 17 (Touch Probe Functions).
If you are using a HEIDENHAIN touch probe with EnDat
interface, the software option 17, Touch Probe Functions,
is automatically enabled.
HEIDENHAIN only gives warranty for the function of the
probing cycles if HEIDENHAIN touch probes are used.
