18.10 Expansion Vessel
•
Read the notes at the head of this section before commencing any work
on the appliance.
•
Disconnect the pipe coupling on the expansion vessel (
fi
gure 43).
•
Lift the pressure vessel out of boiler from the gap over the chassis and
fi
t
the replacement vessel to the boiler in reverse order of removal ensuring the sealing
washer is
fi
tted to the pipe connection before
tightening.
(Replace the washer if required)
•
Using a pressure sensor, check that
the expansion vessel charge pressure is
0·5bar (7·5psi)
•
Open the isolating valves on the
fl
ow
and return connections, re
fi
ll, vent and
pressurise the boiler ensuring all joints are
sound.

18.11 Overheat Safety Thermostat
•
Read the notes at the head of this section
before commencing any work on the appliance.
•
Locate the overheat safety thermostat upstream of the three way valve (see
fi
gure 1).
•
Disconnect the electrical connections from the thermostat.
•
Remove the thermostat from the pipe being careful not to damage the retaining clip.
•
Fit the replacement thermostat in reverse order to removal.
18.12 Pressure Sensor
•
Read the notes at the head of this section before commencing
any work on the appliance.
•
Disconnect and remove the sensor cable and sensor from
the hydroblock. (

•
Fit the replacement pressure sensor in reverse order ensuring
the gasket is correctly
fi
tted. (Replace the gasket if damaged)
