Signal flow channel and generated signals
Each QuantumX measurement channel generates two signals.
These signals can be individually parameterized with different data rates and filters. We
recommend using ”QuantumX
−
Assistant” software (signal tab) for parameterization.
When several modules are connected via the FireWire bus, signals can be transmitted in real
time (isochronously), e.g. from the signal source to an output (analog, CAN or EtherCAT bus)
or to the computation. This isochronous real time mode can be activated in parallel to the
asynchronous mode. The maximum data rate is 4.8 kHz.
The data for phase delays and the filter tables specified in the respective data sheets should
be used for computing phase delays from signal input to signal output.
Scaling
QuantumX supports the following types of scaling:
•
2-point / y=mx+b
•
Table (multi point)
•
Polynomial
The 16-channel-modules (MX1601, MX1615) and the modules MX410 and MX460 support
2
−
point scaling only.
