Zero balance and reset reference wavelength
Zeroing optical sensors will create an offset on the measurement equal to its
value at the instant of zeroing. This is a very helpful feature for relative mea
surements, but has to be performed with care in absolute and calibrated mea
surements as, for example, temperature measurements - especially if tempera
ture values are being used for compensating the effect of temperature on strain
measurements.
Important
Zeroing sensors in catman will create an offset on the sensors configuration at
the device level. Zero balance will affect measured values delivered by the
device.
