6. Torque Setting
Setting the torque on the 5000 CT
• Unlock handle
���
by clockwise rotation of
safety lock
���

• Now use handle
���
to set the required torque
���
and
���

• To fix the preset value, turn safety lock
���
anti-clockwise.
• The torque wrench is now ready for use.
• Please pay attention to the direction of
actuation! By reversing the sliding square
tang the working direction can be changed,
either to the right or to the left. As the torque
wrench is turned for this, the direction of
actuation (or the torque wrench’s release
direction, see marker) remains the same.
• Wrench -2 CT is equipped with a reversible ratchet.
Setting the torque on the 5000 CLT
• Unlock handle

by clockwise rotation of
safety lock

• To adjust the torque, push handle
���
forward
and rotate it until the window indicates the
required value.
• The preset value must be within the permit-
ted torque range which is displayed on the
hous ing of the appropriate display.
• One revolution of the handle increases the
torque on the 5121- and the 5122-2 CLT
by 10 Nm, and, in the case of the 5123-
2 CLT, by 20 Nm.
• The set torque is fixed by releasing the
handle.
• In order to prevent accidental maladjustment,
the safety lock
���
should be rotated anti-
clock wise.
• The torque wrench is now ready for use.
