The IEEE Standards Committee formally ratified
1000BASE-T as an Ethernet standard in June 1999.
The Hawking’s GS400T Gigabit Switch provides 4 RJ-45
1000BASE-T ports as Gigabit Backbone to connect
workgroup 100/1000 Switch to increases the performance
of your network. The GS400T provides a full wire-rate
Gigabit Switch port for greater network performance.

The first upgrade phase is implemented in three areas:

The second migration phase is the upgrading of power
users to 100/1000 Mbps Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet
NICs. Gigabit Ethernet to the desktop will be supported,
giving power users full access to the resources of the
network.
