INSTRUCTIONS
WARRANTY INFORMATION
1. INSTALLATION MUST BE MADE AND MAINTAINED IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH
NATIONAL/LOCAL PLUMBING AND NATIONAL/LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES (CSA IN
CANADA). INSTALLATION MUST BE MADE BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. THE
APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED CODES TAKE PRECEDENT.
IMPROPER ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS
INJURY OR DEATH FOR PERSONNEL OR LIVESTOCK.
2. EACH ELECTRICAL UNIT MUST BE WIRED THROUGH A FUSED SWITCH BOX AND
FUSED ACCORDING TO AMPS REQUIRED FOR EACH SPECIFIED ELECTRICAL UNIT.
CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE--PART 1 REQUIRES LIVESTOCK WATERERS INSTALLED
IN FEEDLOTS IN OPEN FEEDING AREAS TO BE GROUNDED BY A SEPARATE STRANDED
COPPER GROUNDING CONDUCTOR OF AT LEAST NO. 6 AWG TERMINATING AT A POINT
WHERE THE BRANCH CIRCUIT RECEIVES ITS SUPPLY.
3. THIS UNIT MUST BE GROUNDED TO A COPPER GROUND ROD 5/8" (1.6CM) DIAMETER
BURIED AT LEAST 10 FEET (3.1 METERS) IN UNDISTURBED SOIL.
WHEN ORDERING PARTS
(1) Show MODEL NUMBER and NAME: Example - 77 Space Heater
HOW TO ORDER PARTS
Repair parts may be ordered from your dealer.
1. Remove the access door by turning the 2-

Turn SS Studs (push in and twist counter-
clockwise). Discontinue electrical service to any existing electric unit.
2. Inside the waterer on the underneath side of the trough, locate the center bolt that is
welded to the bottom of the trough and protruding downwardly.
3. Place bracket on this center bolt and tighten with one of the brass nuts.
4. Place the heater on the bolt that is welded to the bottom of the bracket. Attach the
heater to the bracket by placing the pre-drilled hole in the middle of heater on the brack-
et bolt. MAKE SURE THE HEATING ELEMENT OF THE HEATER IS FACING UP AND
THAT THE POWER CORD IS ON THE LEFT SIDE AS THE HEATER IS MOUNTED. Turn
the electric unit at an angle as much as possible(and still allow the access door to be
replaced) so that you see and access the control knob. Tighten heater to the bottom of
the bracket using the second brass nut.
5. Plug in power cord.
