OPERATION
Setting the Operating Mode:
Gear Change Selection:
Gear selection: The proper gear selection is directly related to the speed and
torque required for various jobs. The following should be adhered to when
selecting the proper gear:
Speed 1=low speed with high torque
Speed 2=high speed with low torque
Changing gears: change gear position only with the motor at a complete stop.
To change gears rotate the gear selection dial. If you have difficulties changing
from one gear to the other, turn the keyless chuck by hand until the gears engage.
Operating Instructions Tips
1) After longer periods of working at low speed, allow the tool to cool down
by running it for approx. 3 minutes at maximum speed with no load.
2) Use carbide tipped drill bits when working in concrete, masonry and brick wall.
3) For drilling in metal, use only perfectly sharpened HSS drill bits (HSS=High
Speed Steel).
4) Twist bits from 2.5 - 10 mm can be easily sharpened with a drill bit sharpener.
5) We recommend the use of a drill stand for work where absolute precision is
required.
6) The tool vice, which is available as an accessory, enables secure
clamping of the work piece. This prevents the work piece from turning and any
accidents this would cause.
