3.1. Important
Information
For your safety and proper operation of your receiver, please take time to read this
manual before installing and operating the receiver.
Before using the DEC 1000-t for the first time please check that all of the following
components are included in the package:

1 Power supply unit and mains adapter
•
1 SCART to 9 pin cable
•
1 RF Loop-through cable
•
1 Remote control
•
2 Batteries
•
1 Quick Installation Guide
•
1 Instruction Manual
•
1 Warranty card
Carry out the following steps:
•
Insert the batteries into the remote control handset
•
Install the receiver as described
•
Read the instructions
•
If you encounter any problems, please refer to Troubleshooting
(Section 9 page 39)
for any troubleshooting tips and solutions
3.2. Safety
Precautions
3.2.1. Location of device
Every electronic device develops heat during usage. Although the heat from the
device is normal, sensitive furniture surfaces can become discoloured by the
constant thermal effect over the course of the time. Likewise the device feet can
cause color modifications when in contact with treated furniture surfaces. If
necessary, place the device on a suitable surface or with a heat resistant document
or cloth underneath.
3.2.2. Ventilation
The heat developing in this device is sufficiently dissipated. Nevertheless never
install the receiver in a cabinet or on a shelf with insufficient ventilation. Never cover
the cooling slots of the device. Do not place articles on the device and keep free
space of at least 40 cm over the device, so that the developing warmth is dissipated
unhindered.
