1.1. System
Overview
The LED Gizmo / EyeFX is a self-contained effect unit which can be concealed in a prop, mask or other
item where an animated lighting effect is desired. The Gizmo can be powered by either a 9 volt battery, or
DC power supply. The electronics are encapsulated in plastic for protection. Although not waterproof, the
unit can safely be exposed to moisture.
2. System Description
2.1. Specifications

Programmed locally with the on board buttons.

6 different user selectable patterns.

Designed to work from a 9 volt battery but will function on as low as 5 volts or up to12 volts
2.2. Applications
Intended for stand alone LED lighting effects.
3. Operation
The mode is selected by pressing the button the number of times that represents the desired effect.
Available effects:
1. Blink
2. Fade dim – Bright – Dim continuously
3. Strobe
4. Fade while strobing
5. Fade with Strobe at maximum brightness
6. Always
on
7. Sequence between modes 1 through 5
After pressing the button the selected number of times,
the LEDs will flash back to confirm the count and then
begin performing the sequence.
The selected mode is stored in non-volatile memory.
Upon application of power, the LEDs will flash to indicate
the current mode, and then begin performing that
sequence.
