Appendix 2: Installation and Licensing

Mixbus VBM is a licensed product. In order for VBM to operate the license file must be

resident in your computer's HOME folder.

7.1 Getting Started

Follow these steps to install the VBM program and its license file on your computer.

7.1.1 Installing The Software

1. Depending on the type of computer there will be different installation files. For example:



Windows
The program is a .exe file such as MixbusVBM-1.1.112-w64-Setup.exe



MAC
The program is a .dmg file such as MixbusVBM-1.1.112.dmg



Linux
The program is a .tar (tape archive) file such as MixbusVBM-1.1.112-x86_64-gcc5.tar

Install the program as you would install any other application on your computer.

2. Install the license.

This is done by saving the attached license file to the home folder of the computer. The home

folder is the one that contains the Downloads and Documents folder and is normally a user name.

On Windows: You can locate the folder quickly by entering %USERPROFILE% in the

search/address bar of a windows file explorer window.

On MacOS: From the finder menu, select "Go" and then "Home"

On Linux: The license file goes in the user's HOME directory
