6.2.3.6
Pallet Over-current
Too much current drawn by pallet. Latching fault. Threshold is 12 Amps for DHD and 8
amps for DCD. The module should be sent in for repair due to the fact that this fault is
rarely caused by the pallet itself and usually requires bench troubleshooting (under
power) to repair.
It is usually caused by an AGC problem in the module causing the pallets to be over-
driven, such as a loss of input to or output from another pallet which causes the other
pallets to try and make up the difference.
6.2.3.7
Driver Pallet Over-current
Same as pallet over-current, but for the driver pallet. Note that this reading also includes
current for Phase and gain driver transistors. Module must be sent in for repair.
6.2.3.8
LDMOS Fail
FET failure based of pallet current levels. Fault is set for each push-pull pair. Fault is set
when pallet current is less than 60% of highest pallet current in module. If pallet current
is below 40%, the whole pallet is considered bad which is 2 LDMOS failures. 3 push-
pull pair failures are allowed without shutting off the module. If a 4th fails, it is
considered a critical failure and the module is shut off.
This is a field repairable problem. For more information see "5.4.3 PA Module Pallet
Replacement" on page 5-6.
6.2.3.9
Over Voltage
+32V source has exceeded 33V. Module does 3-strike and then fault is latched. Most
likely a power supply problem (not actually a PA module issue). Check the following:
•
Check the other module associated with that power supply to see if it is also
faulted. If 2 modules have this fault, then check the power supply voltage
readings on the GUI and try swapping the supply with another. Remember
that each odd numbered module is powered from the same supply as the next
highest even numbered module, 1&2, 3&4 etc...
