Transmitter Power Measurement
This procedure for measuring the transmitter power should be followed
•
For new installations
•
As part of the annual maintenance requirement
•
When the Transmitter Assembly is replaced
Note that this is a new procedure and should be followed
from now on.
You may observe a low output alarm while you are
performing calibration. Ignore the alarm until the
calibration has been completed.
Measuring the Power Output of an Off-line Transmitter
If the Transmitter to be measured is off-line, then it must be placed on line.
The following procedure interrupts traffic.
1.
Lock the Transmitter on line as follows:
From the Keypad main menu, select
CONTROL > LOCK/IF LPBK > LOCK MOD/TX > SET
Connecting the Power Meter
2.
Connect the power head of the power meter to the transmit monitor port
on the ACU. See
The monitor port is labeled “COUPLING LOSS FROM ANTENNA FLANGE
CAL AT XMT FREQ __._”.
