Distribution Amplifier to the AES Audio In connector for Channel B.
3. Configure the master and slave Spectrum Xs or ChannelPorts according to the EAS configuration

Connecting AC power
Once all audio, video, and communication connections are completed, connect AC power cords to your
system. Do
not
plug the AC cords into an AC power source yet.
1. For the MediaDirector 2252B, 2252B-DS, and 2251B systems only: connect power to the
MediaStores first.
a. The MediaStore 5100 and 5000 series have two power switches—ensure that they are off. To
take full advantage of the dual redundant power supplies on a MediaStore, connect AC from
separate, isolated power sources to each AC connector on the MediaStore.
b. Attach the female ends of the power cords to the Power Supply Modules, and secure them with
the retainers, if supplied.
c. Attach the male ends of the power cords to your facility’s AC power source.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure that both MediaStore power supplies are connected. This
guarantees full power redundancy, and provides a much faster drive spin-up time—
once power is applied. If only one of the power supplies is used and another one is
present but not powered, the system will beep.
