L-Band Modulator Parameters

Reduced L-Band Power
Set the Reduced L-Band Power parameter for satellite identification when you are not sure of the
frequency so that you do not jam other transmissions. Use the Carrier parameter to switch
between L-Band Power and Reduced L-Band Power. The unit is dBm.
The range is -50 to -7 dBm. The Reduced L-Band Power default is -
20 dBm

Front Panel
To set the Reduced L-Band Power parameter on the front panel:
1. Navigate
Root > L-Band Modulation and Up-Converter > Carrier
.
2. Select
Reduced
.
3. Select
Reduced L-Band Power
.
4. Adjust the value with the up and down arrow keys.
5. Press
<Enter>

Web Manager
To set the reduced L-Band Power parameter in the Web Manager:
1. Select
DSNG > Modulator and Up-Converter
. See Figure 11–2.
2. Set the Carrier parameter to
Reduced
.
3. Set the Reduced L-Band Power parameter.
