11. Storage and disposal
If the products are not put into operation promptly after delivery, they must be stored in the original packaging in a dry,
dust free and vibration free interior. They should not be stored at room temperature (+5 °C to +40 °C) for longer than two
years to maintain the grease service life.
After the service life has expired, the following must be observed:
The products include lubricants for bearings and Harmonic Drive
®
Gears as well as electronic components and circuit
boards. Depending on the motor feedback system used, the drive system also includes a lithium thionyl chloride bat-
tery. It is necessary to dispose of the product properly in accordance with national and local regulations.
Lubricants and batteries must be handled in accordance with the nationally applicable health protection regulations. If
required, please request the valid safety data sheet of the lubricant from us.
NOTE:
•
Lithium batteries do not contain any hazardous substances according to the European RoHS directives 2011/65/EU.
•
The European Battery Directive 2006/66 EU has been implemented in most EU Member States.
•
Lithium batteries are marked with the symbol of the crossed out dustbin (see illustration). The symbol reminds end
users that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste but collected separately.
