Calibration
Procedures
NOTE: If the density of the material changes significantly, a new rate calibration should be
performed.
Step 1. Complete the Feeder Verification Procedures.
Step 2. Set the Rate Exception Control (REC LEVEL) to 0.0
a. Press the "Config" button.
b. Enter the security code number.
c. Press the Enter button.
d. Press the down arrow
↓
until the cursor is next to the Tun-
ing Control sub-menu.
e. Press the Enter button.
f. Press the down arrow
↓
until the cursor is next to the REC
LEVEL sub-menu.
• If the REC LEVEL is not 0.0.
Press the Clear button.
Enter 0.0.
Press the Enter button.
• If the REC LEVEL reads 0.0.
• Press the Exit button to return to the Main Menu.
• Press the Exit button to return to the Operational Dis-
play.
Step 3. Setting the Totalizer to Zero if you do not have a scale avail-
able to weigh the samples.
• In the Operational Display #1, (See Fig. 5-10) press the
Clear button.
• Enter the security code number. A "Clear Total NO" mes-
sage appears.
• Press the Select button to select YES.
• Press the Enter button to Zero the Totalizer. The Opera-
tional Display automatically appears.
• Press the Display button until the Scale Display appears.

• You can now use the HI 2160
PLUS
as a scale to weigh the
material dispensed by the feeder into the container.
