NOTE: The Control Output Card and the Analog Output Card Option have the same part
number. However, they perform a completely different function. The Control Card
outputs signals to a motor controller. The Analog Output Card Option can be used as
a controller itself, outputting to a display, PLC, Computer etc.

About the Analog
Output Card Option
The analog transmitter outputs to a receiving device (PLC, Computer,
or another rate controller). The transmitter outputs Gross, Batch, Rate
of Change (ROC), Peak or Total Weight as 0-5V, 0-10V, 0-20mA, or 4-
20mA (via the front panel you can reverse the voltage and current
ranges 5-0V, 10-0V, 20mA-0mA, or 20mA-4mA, See the Setup Chap-
ter for procedures). The receiving device must be capable of accepting
one of the analog signals. When configuring the Analog Output Card,
both the receiver and the HI 2160RC
PLUS
must be in the same mode
(e.g. Gross, Batch, Rate of Change (ROC) Peak or Total Weight). The
analog card can also span the voltage or milliamp ranges over a portion
of the weight data. The outputs are electrically and optically isolated
from the main board. The Analog Output Card is adjusted at the fac-
tory. The procedures contained in this section are recommended when
you need closer weight tolerances.
There are two (2) jumpers and four potentiometers located on the Ana-
log Output Card. One jumper selects the current output range, and the
other selects the voltage output range. (See Table 4-2 for configuration
