Step 2. Press the Clear button to clear the entry.
Step 3. Use the numeric keys to enter a new weight value.
Step 4. Press the Enter button to accept the new value.
Step 5. If the values are not accepted a message appears “NOT
APPROVED”. The value entered is below the STOP (HI)
value. Clear the entry and enter a value that is higher.
Press the Enter button to accept the corrected value.
Selecting the
Initial Fill
Function
•
The Initial Fill function tops off the feeder hopper (loads the feeder
to the STOP HI weight) whenever the user pushed the “Start/Enter”
button on the front panel of the HI 2160RC
PLUS
. The function
makes sure that the feeder has enough material at the beginning of a
process and can prevent refills in the middle of a dispensing pro-
cess. (See Fig. 6-21)
Step 1. Press the down arrow
↓
button until the cursor is to the
left of the INITIAL FILL Sub-Menu.
Step 2. Press the Select button to select YES.
Step 3. Press the Enter button to accept the selection.
NOTE:
The Initial Fill can be disabled to speed up batch processes. Just press the Select but-
ton until the NO appears and press the Enter button to disable the function.
About the Refill
Correction
Factor
•
Forces related to material entering the feeder during a refill can
sometimes effect the flow rate of the material being dispensed by
the feeder. The Refill Correction Factor can be used to offset this
effect.
