5. Receiving & Unpacking
5.2.2
Dual Packaging
1. Using tin snips or a similar cutting tool, cut the metal packing
straps on both units. Care should be taken as the straps are
under tension and may snap when cut.
2. Remove all wrapping from the rotisseries. Care should be taken
not to scratch any surfaces if a knife is being used.
3. Remove all accessories and loose items from in and around the
equipment and place them aside. Ensure that you place the
accessories in separate piles for each rotisserie.
4. Identify which rotisserie is the bottom one as it needs to be
prepared first. This can be determined by the caster wheels that
are visible near the bottom of the crate (see Figure 5-10).
5. On the bottom rotisserie, remove any wood blocks around the
feet or (optional) casters that might hinder rolling the unit
forward
off its pallet as shown in Figure 5-10. Do not remove the
indicated wooden rails.
MOVING
THE
ROTISSERIE
OFF
THE
PALLET
REQUIRES A 4 PERSON TEAM AS THE WEIGHT OF
THE UNIT IS AROUND 400 LBS.
CARE MUST BE TAKEN NOT TO OVER EXERT
PRESSURE ON THE DOOR GLASS WHEN HANDLING
THE ROTISSERIE.
6. Unlock the casters and carefully
roll
the unit to the edge of the
pallet.
7. In 3 stages; gently lift and lower the first set of legs onto the
floor, roll the unit forward, then carefully lift and lower the back
legs onto the floor. See Figure 5-11.
8. Position the bottom unit in a suitable area (to allow for easy
access when mounting the top unit in the proceeding steps),
then
lock the front casters.
9. Remove the four inner top bolts, lock washers and washers
from the roof of the bottom unit as shown in Figure 5-12 and set
them aside.
