Adhere to the maximum emersion length (see table).
With submerged motor, the pumps are suitable for uninterrupted duty S1. With non-submerged motor, the
pumps are suitable for periodic duty S3.
Operating mode S3 stands for periodic duty consisting of cycles of 10 minutes duration each. Operation is
composed of a sequence where 3.5 minutes of operation are followed by 6.5 minutes of rest (S3 = 35%).
9.5. Electrical connection
All electrical installations must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with
the local regulations.
The control unit must be installed in accordance with the local regulations. The distance to the edge of the
pump pit should not exceed 4 m (advantages: easier functional control of the pump; installation of the distri-
bution box becomes superfluous). For distances > 4m, floodable distribution boxes for the motor and control
unit must, in accordance with the regulations, be installed in the pump pit. These distribution boxes must be
located directly underneath the manhole cover, and they must be accessible from the top. Alternatively, the
cables must be professionally spliced. For the inlet of the pump motor cable as well as the control cable (for
the water level controller) a sufficiently large plastic tube must be used.
Procedure
- Check whether the supply voltage matches the voltage stated on the system plate.
- Check the phase order.
- Open the control cabinet and connect the electric wires in accordance with the separate diagram. The
diagram can be found in the control cabinet.
