Cleaning the
appliance
WARNING
Risk of burns!
The appliance will become
hot during operation. If you
touch parts which are hot, you
could burn yourself on them!

Before cleaning, pull the
mains plug out of the so-
cket.
■
Allow the appliance to cool
completely before cleaning.
NOTICE
Cleaning the appliance incor-
rectly may cause damage!
Hard objects may scratch the
soleplate.
■
Do not use any solvent-ba-
sed, abrasive or scouring
cleaners or cleaning uten-
sils (scouring pads, etc.).
These could scratch the sur-
faces.
■
Do not fi ll the water tank
with vinegar or chemical
detergents.
■
Do not use a steam cleaner
or high-pressure cleaner to
clean the appliance.
■
Thoroughly dry all parts af-
ter cleaning.
1. Set the steam regulator (3) and
the temperature control-
ler (11) to 0.
2. Before cleaning, pull the mains
plug out of the socket.
3. Open the water tank cap (2).
4. Empty the water tank (9).
5. Close the water tank cap.
6. Allow the appliance to cool off
completely.
7. Wipe the appliance with a
damp cloth.
8. Then allow the appliance to dry
completely.
