Place a heat-resistant, wa-
terproof and non-slip pad
underneath the appliance
if it is stood on sensitive fur-
niture. Surface coatings on
furniture sometimes con-
tain chemical additives that
can eat away at the rubber
feet of the appliance. This
may cause residue to ac-
cumulate on the surface of
the furniture.

Do not set up the appliance
below kitchen wall units etc.
These could be permanent-
ly damaged by the steam
that is emitted. Maintain
minimum distances around
the appliance (see „Suitable
location“ on page EN-11).

Do not heat the jug in a mi-
crowave or oven.
■
Never operate the appli-
ance when empty.
■
Never exceed maximum fi ll
levels.

Fill the fi
lter with pure
ground coffee only and not
with any other substanc-
es such as water-soluble or
freeze-dried instant prod-
ucts, other drink powders or
foreign bodies.

Never place the appliance
or individual parts in a dish-
washer.
■
Do not use a steam clean-
er to clean it. This can cause
short-circuiting and dam-
age the appliance.
■
Do not use any sol-
vent-based, corrosive or
abrasive cleaners (e.g. oven
or grill spray) or cleaning
utensils such as scouring
pads or similar. They could
damage the surfaces.
