Changes and Errata
01/17/2014: Corrected resistor parts list. Corrected Rev D schematic diagram. Also, note that
Rev D boards are still marked “Rev C” on the bottom of the board – nobody’s perfect.
01/01/2014: Resistor R13 changed to 1K Ohm. If your kit does not have enough 1K Ohm
resistors, and you don’t have one available locally, please email me for the correct part. All kits
shipped after 1/1/14 should have enough 1K Ohm resistors.
12/20/2013: New PCB design added. The new PCB uses 3.3 µF electrolytic capacitors for C1 &
C2, and includes the earlier recommended changes noted below.
10/25/2013: Changed resistor R7 to 1K Ohm. C1 & C2 values corrected.
If you experience low receiver audio volume with the earlier 10K Ohm resistor, you can solve
this issue in one of two ways:
1.
If you are not using de-emphasis: Solder a jumper wire across the R7 pads. You can also
jumper across capacitor C10.
2.
If you are using de-emphasis, replace R7 with a 1k Ohm resistor. If this does not provide
sufficient receiver audio, jumper across C10.
Earlier schematics and parts lists incorrectly identified C1 & C2. These component values are
not critical, and having them swapped will have no adverse effect on the operation of your board
– so if they are reversed, leave them reversed.
