Fundamental safety precautions
Observe the following safety precautions to ensure safe handling of
the appliance:
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use . Do

not use a damaged appliance .
Do not allow children to play with the appliance .

Persons who due to their physical, mental or motor response abili-

ties are unable to operate the appliance may only use the appli-
ance under supervision or instruction by a responsible person .
Do not open the appliance. Unauthorised opening and unqualified

repairs can pose considerable dangers for the user of the appli-
ance. Have repairs to the appliance carried out only by qualified
persons. Unqualified repairs will void the warranty.
Repairs to the appliance during the warranty period may only be

carried out by service centres authorised by the manufacturer as
the warranty will otherwise be voided in the event of subsequent
damage .
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts . Only

these parts guarantee that the safety requirements are satisfied.
Protect the appliance against moisture and the ingress of liquids .

If the appliance comes into contact liquids, disconnect it from the
power supply immediately .
Clean the housing of the appliance with a slightly dampened cloth .

Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or sol-
vents .
Always pull the mains lead out of the plug socket at the plug, not
■
at the mains lead .
Do not place any objects on the appliance .
■
Electronic appliances are delicate, avoid collisions or banging .
■
In the event of malfunctions or during thunder storms, pull the

mains lead out of the plug socket .
