s This device features a motor with a function that protects against pa-
per jams and overloads.
s Do not use the shredder continuously for longer than
s Limit continuous use of the device to a maximum of 3 minutes,
followed by a pause of at least 20 minutes with the device swit-
ched off. The motor switches off automatically when the device is
overloaded (after a minimum of 20 minutes).
s The device switches off automatically when the maximum sheet capa-
city has been exceeded.
In either case, proceed as follows:
s Unplug the device at the socket.
s Wait at least 20 minutes until the overload protection has reset.
s Remove any paper sticking out of the device by pulling it up and out
of the feed shaft (4).
s Reconnect the device to the power supply and set the operating switch
(2) to REV.
s Pull any remaining paper up and out of the feed shaft (4).
s Switch the device back and forth between ON/AUTO and REV as nee-
ded.
s To return to standby mode, set the operating switch (2) to the ON/
AUTO position.
