Starting Up
Pay attention to persons in the
vicinity of the vehicle when
completing any work.
2.1
Instruction
Instructions to operators are required
before putting the vehicle into service.
Only technicians from your local autho-
rized Hako dealer are allowed to provi-
de initial instruction on the vehicle. The
manufacturing plant will notify the dea-
ler immediately after delivering the ve-
hicle and the dealer will contact you to
arrange a date.
2.2
Initial battery charge
An initial battery charge must be perfor-
med in order for it to provide an opti-
mum performance and service life. A
battery charger is available which is
specially adapted to the batteries.
Only use the batteries and
charger prescribed by us to
charge the battery. The full
terms of warranty can only be
accepted when these units are
used.
Before starting the vehicle up
for the first time, the batteries
to be used must be fully
charged, properly, by imple-
menting the initial battery char-
ge routine. Hako assumes no
liability for damage to the
battery caused by a fault when
the battery is charged for the
first time.
The seat console must be pivo-
ted open during the battery
charging process to prevent
the development of explosive
oxyhydrogen!
Only use the original charger!
Pay attention that the insulati-
on is not initially damaged and
not damaged during the char-
ging process. The cable must
not rub against anything. Do
not use the charger if the insu-
lation is damaged.
Do not inhale battery gases.
Please pay attention to the operating
manual provided with the charging unit
as well as the manual from the battery
manufacturer. Powering up the batte-
ries is described in such detail in the
manufacturer's documents that further
information on the subject is considered
unnecessary for this manual.
