Removal of the front panel provides access to
the sensor rods connection, and the drum lamp
socket connection. The door switch is attached
to the front panel.
Front Panel Removal
1. Remove the control panel (see
Control
Panel and Front RJ45 Access
in the
Dryer
Components
section of this service guide).
2. Remove the top cover (see
Top Cover
in the
Dryer Components
section of this service
guide).
3. Remove the control panel mounting bracket
by removing eight Phillips-head screws
securing it to the cabinet.
4. Remove the six Phillips-head screws above
and around the door opening, including the
two securing the door hinge. The door hinge
has two mounting hooks to hook it in place.
Front Panel
NOTE
: Remove the door assembly first. Makes it
easier to remove the front panel.
5. Remove the door and hinge assembly.
6. Remove the door gasket by pulling it out of
the plastic channel around the door opening.
7. Disconnect the door switch connection and
remove the front panel.
